How we work - Engineers own the build
Engineers are closest to what gets built, so we keep them close to the client too. Fewer layers between the conversation and the code, and the engineer writing it is the person you talk to.
- Senior engineers only. No juniors learning on your project. Every build is staffed by engineers who have shipped on Shopify before, most of it on Plus, with the trade-offs mapped before we start.
- Direct line to the build. You work with the engineers and PM building your project. Scope and trade-offs are spelled out in plain language. Updates are written and tied to what shipped that week.
- Realistic pace. Rushed work breaks in production. We scope to what is actually achievable and ship on the timeline we quoted, without burning the team or the codebase.
- Works with your team. Most clients have in-house engineers, a brand or design team, or another agency already in the mix. We work alongside them. Shared repos, code reviews, paired sprints, whatever the setup actually needs.
